Bold like A Lion

The Lion is the king of all the jungle, this apex predator has many characteristics that are spoken about within scripture. Many people like to view Lions as strong, prideful, ruling or sometimes even animals with diligence. However, when I look at a Lion I think of boldness. Scripture tells us in Proverbs 28:1 that “The righteous are as bold as Lions”. Paul the apostle is one of the many messengers of God that speaks boldly like a Lion. In Acts 14:19-20 Paul is preaching the gospel to a crowd in the city of Lystra and Derbe. However, when a few Jews come and win the crowd over speaking falsely and brutally against Paul; no one would listen. “They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city….” (Acts 14: 19) Despite that, as we continue to read on within the story, Paul gets back up, shakes the dirt of his feet, and goes back into the city to preach the gospel boldly. The open door that God himself has opened for you to speak about his son, Jesus on the streets, is a moment of boldness. When you’re on the streets or at your work or maybe out shopping, evangelize and spread the message of Christ, grip the sword of the gospel with boldness and speak to whoever comes your way. No matter how hard it gets, realize your purpose and carry it out.

For many lives can be changed by a man who honors God and speaks boldly like a Lion.
